  • Landing a 180...

    Hi,
I'm pretty comfortable with jumping 3-4' on my boards, and have been doing 180's off of little bumps (like a groomer creates between grooming tracks, like 6" tall bumps). But, I don't think I could land a 180 if I tried to do it off a jump. Any suggestions for landing them?

i just started doing big air 180's with grabs for style. heres my input.

if you can do little jump 180's you can do big air 180's its exactly the same except your going faster and higher. youll have to turn slower, remember to keep your eyes down to look for the landing.
    lead with your head.
make sure you comfy going fast backwards so your can keep your speed and control once you land.

try to keep your shoulders over your toes so you dont fall back and slap your head. I think you bend your knees more for backwards landings too.

    wear a helmet!

Id get some serious practice riding fakie first and above all dont freak out in the air ! especially if you're going backwards! that = disaster
