My Bindings Wont Cooperate

I just purchaved Line Pro 98cm skiboards. Go ahead and bust on me for having 8 hole bindings, and having them not work lol. So anyway, when i lock my boot in it feels like im gonna pop out, but when i tightin the binding one notch, the metal bar is like half way out of the notch and it looks like the plastic is bending/breaking. What should i do?

looks like one of those lovely situations where your boot is too big for one notch and too small for the next one... I don't know what to tell you

Im thinking if i have the binding loose and tie the plastic clip in the front to under the binding or something, it would work. Would you not recomend doing this?

I think i found my fix. I tied it up and im in pretty tight now. Think ill get stopped on the mountain by staff?
