Soft boots setting

For those of you who ride with soft boots (=snowboard boots), can you please share what boots you wear (brand & model)? How stiff is stiff enough for skiboarding with soft boots, in the rating from 0 to 10, 10 as being the stiffest? Finally, which is more important: stiff binding with 3 straps vs stiff boots?

Hi and welcome to the forum,
I believe that for best results using snowboard boots with skiboards you should have three straps on your binding AND a stiff boot . The stiffer boot the better .
I use a Ride Insano Snowboard boot which has a flex rating of 10. It is not a 100% ideal as the boa knobs interfere a bit with the wings and straps but I make it work .

Three straps is essential no matter what boot you have. A softer boot would be ok in powder and soft snow ( ie medium stiff flex such as a flex 7) but if you want the best control in firm snow carving then the stiffer the snowboard boot the better flex 9 to 10. Anyways that is my two cents.
