  • Wear and tear

So I'm totally new to the skiboard community and I took out my new board today and it was awesome! My question is, is it normal for the boards to develop wear and tear? I noticed some chips and scratches on the edge of the board and some areas the material is like peeling off. Is there someway to smooth the edges of the board or some maintenance I could do?

It happens to every board, don't worry too much about it, search for "chamfering" on the forum and you'll find threads like these :

It's a badge of pride to have some chips and scratches.

Chamfering does help with the worst of it. If you get any of the top sheet peeling up (happens on my tails sometimes from standing the boards up in a snowbank) it's worth getting some epoxy and glueing the peeled up part back down.

Thanks for the input! Ya it looks pretty cosmetic so I'll probably just leave it.
