.... and to answer your question all high level freeskiers secretly long to be skiboarders and hardcore skiboards don't carry video cameras. It is contrary to the minimalism of the sport.

I wasn't quite ready to give up on skiboards yet. I was thinking I might go to The Elk Jams next season and get some tips from your two buddies Bluewing and Kocho on how to make the transition to long skis. Maybe I could make a few turns on those kids skis you all are pretending are skiboards. I guess Elk Jams has become the place to get your exit interview from the sport?

Sigh. The Elk Jam has certainly become 50% Skier 50% Skiboarder. But most of the skiers are well over 6 Feet tall so we make every ski look like a short ski.

He is freeriding, not freestyle. freestyle is in the terrain park.

Also, i would argue the best freestyle footage comes from dave lynam.

For the record, the first time I went to Elk I was on 125cm Raptors, the second time I was on 120cm with the idea to go even shorter and try the 109 Spliffs. So if anything, the trend was to go shorter. Something must've happened on the drive home or caught something contagious from the long skiers at the lodge at lunch break ;-)
