    Powdery Day at Northstar

    So on 12/3 jjue and I were at Northstar riding the Spliffs in soft boots. The snow was hard as a rock and icy. Later that afternoon a storm moved in. Overnight ten inches fell. What a difference a day can make. Mrs. sempai and I returned the next day to a powder paradise, me on the RCs and the Mrs. on the XLs.



    There was a nice amount of snow in the trees.



    We found freshies all day long.



    Here's a short video of me going down a chopped up run. For me there are no better boards to be riding on a powder day than the RCs. They are a blast!

        I was a bit bummed that I missed out on yesterday because I had to work especially after our rock hard icy day ,but went to Northstar today and had a special treat .. . the ski patrol opened more terrain on the backside that they had not opened yesterday and I got first tracks down a nice untouched tree run down the backside , and then they opened lookout mountain for the first time this season and I was first up the drag lift over there and rode completely untouched deep pow in the glades to the side of washoe run down lookout mountain ... it was fabulous... I rode the Spliffs with soft boots and had the time of my life ... they ride different then the RC but no less fun in the soft stuff .. I ride them rear mounted and just bounce up and down on the tails down the fall line .. had the RC's in the car but never went back to get them ... no pow shots of me but here is the obligatory photo op from the photo folks at Northstar...
        Glad you and Angie had a great pow day and thanks for the pics and video ! We are having a real nice start to our season for sure ...!!! .

          I'm pleased that the Spliffs are working well for you Jack and that you had a great day.
          Smart colour co-ordination. Your jacket and pants pick up the orange and green theme of the Spliff's graphics.

            I was up there on Saturday, what a difference from the last few seasons! Was nice to have that back side open too. I was cruisin' around on my Blunts having a blast. Hope to meet up with y'all one of these times!
