  • Just got my new KTP's in!!!

Alright, I just got my new KTP's in yesterday, as well as a set of Zero Pro's. Got them all mounted up and set up for my boots!. Next step.... Hit the mountain! Which I will do this Saturday at Boreal Ridge in Truckee! I cant wait.

So, not that any of you know me or have any idea of my skill level, Im still curious of the outcome of my poll?

Going from riding Line Five-O's that are fairly thin all the way around (especially compared to the KTP) How many times will I eat it getting used to the KTP?

On a serious note: in my humble opinion ... the KTPs kick a**

I went from Head 94s to Tanshos to the KTPs. I did not fall in love with, and get addicted to, skiboarding until Ms. KTP entered my life. (Sorry for the female reference there Kirk ... had to do it.)

All is now well in the world.

My vote is that you'll love them.

xxxander, it's too bad you're going to Boreal because I'll be at Northstar both days this weekend. Perhaps you'd consider driving a little further to hit the trees with me on the bigger (and much more crowded) resort? :P

HAHA! FFA, I voted number 1 because I liked that one best!!!
Im really excited to try them. I have my Journeys that are only .5 centimeter smaller all the way around but they are 85's and way to short for any kind of powder. Great for nice groomers but thats about it. So it should be a hoot this weekend. Especially getting used to the length! (90 is the longest I've ridden so far)
Jens, I am gonna add you so I can see all your pics on facebook. Add me back!!!

illiterateabc, I have only been to northstar once, and to be honest, was not impressed. Mostly with how insanely packed it was! it took us 2 hours to get to the higher lifts!!!
But I'm sure we will stick to Boreal. My friends and I just cant afford the double price of the bigger resorts for half the time! So we pretty much stick to Boreal for the 9 to 9 action! I really appreciate the offer tho! You could always cruise over to boreal after 4 at northstar and meet up with us!!!

I'd say it depends heavily on how much his dbagginess manifests itself in the first few hours.

Too many variables so I'm staying clear of that bet.

                            xxxander,

You'll do great. My '08 KTP's stole my heart at Nozawa. You'll not notice the extra width. Hell, I don't even notice the width on the Condors. The KTP's (and Condors for that matter) roll right over. Now, from what I read here, the latest KTP's have been given more flex compared to the 08's so I'll be interested to hear what you have to say about them. Full figured gals like me tend to appreciate more stiffness but the Condors comparative floppiness was lots of fun in the chop and bumps. Again, I'll be interested to hear what you think.

Last night at Boreal, xxxander totally killed it on his KTPs. He said they took some getting to get used to, but he was keeping up or passing me on my Line Bullets that are crazy, almost unstably fast. Then he was popping 50-50s on the boxes and hitting the jumps like a pro.

Last night was my first time seeing the KTPs in person, and I was astonished at their girth. They are serious equipment; the other 4 skiboarders we rode with were either on Lines or Snowjam so the difference was very noticeable.

Overall, it was my first time riding with a group of skiboarders and it was a great experience. It leaves me even more excited for Shredfest next week!
