  • FRESH, from AllZ skiboards Latvia.

    Hei, everyone
I know that AllZ skiboards have been a little off front page, since the BIG AllZ party in Latvia, last year.
    (Info and pictures here )
But i hope that things are about to change
Since we have a great winter here, and everybody is learning new tricks and having much fun.
Last weekend me and my brother Austris went out there, in Baldone,
to find some new spots to push his level of skiboarding a little.

    Austris Dimants checking out view.

    Baldone - our home.
(Even I live in Riga now, Baldone is still the place to come back,
and Mezkalni - resort is there, with even better snowpark this year. I supose everyone have seen me in pictures from
there, two years ago That still is my playground. And definately most interesting hill in Latvia.
AllZ party also took place there.)

Austris skyped me that he allready has some great spot in mind, he wanted to go straight off this roof of garage,
in to landing made by him and one friend some days ago. So I came from Riga with full equipment in my camera bag.
My fingers froze straight off while he did this gap.

Great light, great timing, we nailed it.
But still I wanted something a little different.

So he did it again, until we got what we came for.
He wanted to go one more time for mute 180, but my fingers where freezing too much..
And I started to worry a little about camera because wireless trigger started to refuse
to trigger after 5 meter lenght. Under -22C no joke. Canon 40D and Canon 430ex flash- Respect!!!

So we decidet to get something else instead, early the next day.
Okai, we couldnt do that early because we slept until one o clock
    But still check it out-

Checking out landing. Runup was not enough big at this slade hill,
so he had to use skipoles at the beginning to get bigger speed, for the actual jump. No hate, just tolerance

    Magical forest.

And Magical safety grab road gap.
Perfect in to twist, angled landing. No doubt.

We knew about this road to jump over, that I allways wanted for almost a year now,
but somehow, had no time or no snow to manage.
Austris Dimants did it with such an speed and ease, even with first jump grabbing tight his AllZ94 boards.

    And we went off.

    Back home.

    While the evening sun sets..

    Fun weekend.
    Magic times,

    Skiboarding by Austris Dimants.

That was very well put together, I must say. I wish the camera had been able to withstand the cold better to get more shots off the rooftop.
