Man it's hard to believe it's been over 3 years since I've set foot-to-boards-to-snow. I know I don't probably even know anyone on here anymore, but logging back in and seeing the posts I can say that things have hardly changed, what changes have occurred seem to be for the better. I'm glad to be back, have a great season everybody!

Cheers to All for a Great Skiboard Season!

As my backcountry buddies and I are making plans for our first backcountry trip this weekend in the new fresh pow , I suddenly realized how I feel part of my group of buddies, but in a way how I am different and how nice it is to be part of a community of niche riders in a niche sport . I have recently been quite the oddball in my group of skiers. First ,toting a teleboard around on my back and then riding ridculously short Hagan 130 skis and a variety of set back telemark mounted longboard skiboards.. Now two of my skier buddies have also gone to short skis , one on Hagans and the other on Icelantic Scouts . The third is still a long ski hold out . Last year I joined them mostly on my center mounted Sherpa with Fritschi Alpine touring bindings and insisted on skiing without poles telling them I had become a "real " skiboarder . Then late in the year I showed up carrying VERY tiny KTP's and Condors on my back hiking on snowshoes. This weekend I will join them again .. but this time with the Condors on my feet with my modified touring binding , on Line FF pros going up hill as well as down on Skiboards and skiboard bindings. (100% Unique skiboard technology in boards and binding ,with a little Telemark technology thrown in for good measure )
It is really a great feeling that I have this wonderful community of fellow skiboarders who are really going with me . The teleboard community is way , way too tiny , ( I think it was a dead end snowsports idea ) , and there really is no short ski community , but there is a wonderful vibrant skiboard community right here . We are all excited to take out these wonderful boards and riding this winter . We share our joy in the way riding these boards make us feel , We know we are different then other snowsports riders , We are making our own way but we have the support of our fellow riders who understand fully our secret. May each and every one of you have a great season , and realize all your dreams ! Let it snow !
Go shred .. and tell us all your stories ! Cheers !!!
