  • Skiboarding at Mt. Hood?

Has anyone been skiboarding at Mt. Hood in Oregon?

I was doing a little websurfing and ran across a bunch of references to late Spring skiing at Mt. Hood. Evidently, there are a couple of ski resorts that are relatively close to Portland that will be open for a few more weeks.

Mt. Hood is open all the way through the summer with glacier riding on the palmer snowfield . it closes down for a month or so in Sept and then reopens in october, this year Mt .Hood , has had a fabulous year snow wise and there is still quite a lot of snow up there right now , and a lot of terrain open .. . !

I was there last july and last october , where the riding was limited to the palmer snowfield , great fun nevertheless , ..
Here is a trip report of my July trip .

Here is a little edit my son put together of our October trip to Mt . Hood

yeah that was a fun time but we went really late in the season and there was barely any snow and no park

here's who went (note: matt hein is missing from the photo, he was in the hospital at the time. it turns out if you go full speed into a rock garden you break things and puncture lungs, who knew?!)

I was looking at doing a trip up there in mid june. Will there be anymore terrain than just palmer snowfield open?

I doubt it. we had new snowfall like 3 weeks ago though. but probably just palmer and magic mile will be running. magic mill is a good run though if its not windy.
