    http://www.worldskiboard.com/articles.php

These tutorials, although in Japanese are awesome. Split into different videos covering everything from basics, carving, fakie, to advanced rail slides and big air tricks.

There is something for everyone from those just starting out to those starting to freestyle and even freestylers wanting to improve their style/technique.

A big positive about these is each section starts with basic technique/balance/body positioning, e.g. it describes how to land fakie without putting your hands down in front (there're 'good' and 'bad' examples). It becomes evident that these riders are sooo awesome and stylish because they've got the basics first. There are so many you tube clips out there of people doing all these rails/jumps etc, but look at the difference in style, these guys know how to pull it off with style and clean landings. And they're not boring videos, they show some great riding, the rails and big air sections are worth watching for pure entertainmet value.

Thanks to Phil for making me aware of these - think it'll help me a lot esp. in the tricks dept

Can we make this sticky? Think it will help newcomers.
    Cheers.

    japanese videos

couldnt agree more anybody speak japanese we need a translation to make the videos a perfect learning tool for the skiboarders on this side of the pond .i am self taught a lone skiboarder so a lot of my learning curve was down to trial and error with no one to learn from, come on guys make the same video in english it would increase the chances of people coming into the sport

I'm in the same boat. Whenever I've skiboarded with others it's been with people that I'm introducing to the sport.

Those videos look good, but it would be better if they were available subtitled in other languages. For example, in the fakie video they seem to be talking about 60/40 weight distribution, but I can't be sure. I'm just going off of the arrows and numbers.

It looks like Marius had someone translate the video into text. That's why the site changed. So you can read along with the video as you watch them do the tricks. Hmm should see if we can get these videos in mpg or wmv format and edit them and redo the audio with english....

re editing it would be easy...you could just isolate the sound out of it and then put in your own music/voice over. Would probly be a little time consuming though.
