Because they have the 8-hole binding setup. I wouldnt worry about it now. Use them for a season or two, get better at skiboarding and then get some Revel8s
Rob12, not quite true. Summit boards are by no means crap, just made by G's main competetor. They don't sell Revel8, G doesn't sell Summits, just the way things happen in a market.
I do it because I can.
I can because I want to.
I want to because you said I couldn't.

Looks like we might have another bored Daniel on our hands...
Nate, if you read the other posts you'd see how we react to people who are negative to newbies, which you still are on this forum (as am I to some extent). Daniel was negative like you're being for a while, but we pulled him out of it and now we have a positive atmosphere. It's often very time consuming to sort through thread after thread and even post after post to find the info you want, and it may not even be exactly what you want. But if you ask the experts, you find out quickly and specifically, and everybody's happy.

What can you say about these skiboards, i wanna these buy. It's good or bad?
well, if it makes you feel any better.....
they may not be the best out there, but you'll have a blast on them.
you may want to go a little faster later on...or have more flex.....or they may break because you're just hardcore.....but you'll have fun...and you'll remember where to come back to when you're ready for another pair. that's all that counts, right?
the bottom line is....have fun with those. use 'em while they last (or until you out grow them); come back here often and read up about what's going on in the skiboard world; share your experiences; and did i mention, have fun?!
it's sometimes like they say...you don't know what you're missing...and that's okay for a little while some times.

-RVL8 EMP, Line FF Pro
-Deeluxe 225 (FINALLY a boot I can wear!)
and i say that mostly knowing that you've already ordered them.
but...depending on what you paid...i know a lot of people are pushing the great deal on the snowjams with bindings here for very close to the same price as the "lower class" skiboards.
if that's the case..you can ship those right back and order a pair from here.

Those Alpinas are physically identical to a set of boards made a few years ago called the Blade 77's which are fine for learning but not for anything else. Use them for a short while on the easy slopes but don't take them up on more "serious" slopes because they will not keep up with you.
