    hey kids,
i usually am the one to start a topic about falls and injuries and things. i kinda thought of this because i took a really hard fall today and prolly shouldnt be riding anymore but i dont exactly care so...
last year i fell on my shoulder hitting a snowboard rut and ended up wearing a sling for like 2 weeks. i tore a ligament in my shoulder. today they finally uncrossed our battleship and since i couldnt do it last time they had it set up (2 years ago)(it was set up the exact same way) i figured now im a little better i should give it a shot. k so this rail is crazy. its like 6 feet tall, and the slopes are both a good 60 degree angle. the jump was a bit steeper this time around and there was powder all around the rail so everything was perfect to hit it. the first time i went kinda slow to get the feel of it, i got the up flat and fell off towards the end. the second time i got way more speed and got the whole thing no problem. i kept trying to get more and more speed until one time i didnt make the jump onto it and landed on my knee and shoulder. i prolly shouldnt even be riding but it doesnt hurt that bad so ill deal with it.
so wut have u guys done to rack yourselves so far this season?

fell off a rail i shouldn't be trying yet (bout 5 feet off the ground...up to flat to down, and i can barely do flat rails on the ground so not a good idea) and hit my tail bone pretty hard today. It hurts to sit down on it and get up and walk around and stuff...i think its just bruised but we'll see how it feels tomorrow. Might go again on sun or mon so i hope it gets better

ive been lucky enough to never have a really serious ski accident

you mean that trap box. that didnt look to hard. is had at least a kind of gentle slope tho. ours is only like 10 feet long and like 6 feet high and its not a box. its a poorly welded peice of shit.

No serious falls yet this season (4 outings, 40+ hrs.) although I've had my fair share of power slides and 1 face plant when some little skiracer kid literally skied over my front tips and sent my big ass sailing. I should have landed on his ass as I am probably 4 times his size and he took a pretty bad fall as it was.

Then again I've spent 0 hours in the park (because me in the park is like a 3 stooges video)

Tomorrow I try out the Icelantic Scouts so we'll see what happens.

Only been once, but I'm already skiing on a knackered knee, either cartlidge or meniscus totally killed.,swelled up for best part of a year and makes a horrible tearing sound when I go up stairs.

Stupid British health system has meant that its taken me nearly a year to see a specialist, then he said another 6months til they can put a camera in my knee to find out whats wrong, and then an even longer wait to get surgery or whatever.

So I'm going skiing for 2weeks in Banff, while I wait for the next appointment

I figured the emergency ward would be a quicker route to get it fixed haha. Nah not really, I just got spruce releasables to reduce any damage I might do.

I swear skiboarding actually makes it feel better though... must be something to do with strengthening the supporting muscles in my knee.

your boxes prolly arent made by a 14 year old in a welding class. every time he makes one he gets that much better but they are still terrible. thank god they tore it out today

I almost had our S rail new years day.. I tried leaning back a little more and slid off my plates.. landed on my feet but my back (left) foot caught the support and ripped my ankle back.. I have a fractured ankle and I'll be out 9 weeks. I'm in a cast right now..

idk if yall know how bad mnt creek ice can get well i was tryin 3's landed bout 10-15 of them.... the next day i go back try throwin them and the lip was ice and the landing was an ice taco so i tryed bout 5-10 and didnt land a single one, kept slippin out loosin my edge. so im gettin steamed and i was tryin to throw them too hard so i dipped my sholder on accident trying to spin... that made me do about a 180 and i was invert 7 ft up and thats when i stopped rotationg... i landed on my head, no helmut. so i walked back up in a days and my friends were like holy shit you landed on your head and got right back up.... thats when i walked in the woods and starting puking... that means cuncussion. so 10 min after that bit i try again and guess what i do... i dip my shoulder so i got 270 cork then fall on my tail bone... massive oil change.. im hurtin real bad

2 days later i feel better decide to go.... i slip out on this box land on my lower back, and thats when the shit hit the fan... i havent gone since... 2 weeks.... i finally feel better and am going back some time this week....

                              i love skiboarding
