We did not hage a briliant season. We had to wait until late January for anothe big dump. February was warm and quiet until some good snow returned in March & April.
We went out this morning and this is the pre-ultimate werkend of 2018/19. It was s glorious sunshine day and much better compared to the previous weekend's visibility.
I had my Ospreys tuned to 89.5/0.5, but I am not quite that with the edging performance after thst. I am going to have them re-tuned to factory settings at the end of this season.
The resorts have officially closed today. Only Arcalis will remain open for another week, but that's it.
There is still enough snow around for touring, and I'll get a bit of that in now just for practice. There is also some snow coming by the end of this week. I am not sure how much, but solo mountaineering might not be safe.
I am starting to look forward to the summer. Lots of walking to be done.
On to gear:
This season I invested in a new visor helmet with a polychromatic lens. it did me well even in bad visibility. I really enjoyed a second season on the Crossbows and the Ospreys. Today i confirmed a pre-order with Jeff for more pairs of Crossbows as backups and as loaners.
Oh and I plan to sell some of my older gear, probably two sets of Spruce risers + bindings as well as a pair of Spruce 120s and a pair of Eman 104 Uprises. Will probably put them up on the forum next week for anyone in Europe looking to prep for the next season.
