New Skiboard Class - Fastest on Spruce Crossbows:
After a year off, and just in time for the Winter Olympics, I am bringing back the speed challenge for those of us who like to push it to the limit --- Just how fast can you go and live to tell the tale? Post your results in this thread and make the leaderboard.
Rules:
- Two main divisions: True Skiboarder (under 115cm) & Open Class -- no separate divisions for gender, age, location, etc.
- Bonus division: Fastest on the "New Board" -- This year how fast can you push the Spruce Crossbows? Speeds can be entered in both Skiboarder and bonus divisions.
- No backward division -- We all know Dave and Courtney are fast and have supernatural powers (and might be a little crazy)
- Speed claim must be supported with speed data from Skitracks or similar. Please post screen shot or data output in this thread
- Speed claim should include: Speed converted to MPH and provide board model and location
- Speed cannot be mechanically assisted (towed with snowmobile or left Skitracks on and got on the highway ... it's the honor system.)
- Contest includes any tracked speed from the start of the 17/18 season but ends 2/28/18 as SF2018 wraps up (if you are riding later in the season that is its own reward).
- Southern Hemisphere riders may post speeds from the 2017 Southern Winter
- Riding any "shorty" (115cm and under) gets you in the True Skiboarder Division. So whatever you call them skiboards, snowblades, miniskis, etc., ..... it's all good!
- Riding anything longer than 115cm on snow gets you in the Open Division so long as it is only gravity assisted. Long skis, luge, bobsled, snowboards, skibike, if it slides on the snow it counts.
- There will be NO separate senior, pro rider, etc. divisions, so don't ask (you know who you are). All skiboarders are equal in the eyes of the CISR (Comité International de Skiboard Rapide), some are just faster/crazier than others.
- All disputes will be settled by the Commissioner of the CISR (Comité International de Skiboard Rapide) .... AKA the Wookie.
