      Mt. Rose, Blunt XLs.
First time out this year, first day on the Blunts. I wasn't even trying to do a speed run. These boards are fast!

I'm going to need a bigger hill to catch up with you all!

Good conditions today at Giants Ridge on the KTPs.

          My new top speed forward

And my new top speed backwards

Seems to be a big enough hill to take the top spot on the backwards group and put you on the podium for the forwards competition. Nicely done! What you really need is some East Coast ice. The hill where macrophotog set the speed to beat last year is not huge but it has fast snow that's a good balance between well groomed and icy hard pack if you are looking for speed.

And my fast trail is nothing special - it's not that steep, just a blue/intermediate trail. But what it does have is a lack of terrain change - meaning no bumps, hills, swails, or sharp turns, etc. to worry about. So as long as you do your fast runs early in the morning when no one is around to get in the way then you can just focus on letting yourself go and run out fast and long. . .

Now, I'm just waiting for that trail to open up this year so I can see if my BluntXL's can surpass my high speed from last year on the KTP's.

54.2 mph with only 284 feet vertical and a 19 degree slope! With a linear speed progression you will be 100 mph+ if you could just get to 500 feet vertical or more….

Some of my fastest runs have been on blues because our blacks are so incredibly short!

My backwards run was pretty lucky. The main lift broke leaving me with a groomed empty run

46.3mph on 250 vertical on ktps that haven't been waxed or touched in a few years. Treetops resort, MI.

Should get some better runs on Monday at a taller/steeper hill.

You are on the leader board, looking forward to see what you can do with a bigger hill and some fresh wax.

I'll assume that 74MPH speed in the pic was in the car on the ride home??

Yea, forgot to turn it off til I got back to my buddy's place. I wish Skitracks had the ability to trim the last part of the run for times like this.

Happens to me all the time. I'll get home and check SkiTracks only to find I got up over 85MPH and sustained it for about 30 miles.

Note: Yes I was speeding. I'm from New Jersey where the speed limits are seen more as lower limits than upper limits. 85MPH on the NJ Turnpike is cruising in the slow lane. Driving slower is often more dangerous than just cruising with the speedy flow of traffic.

                              http://connect.garmin.com/activity/657813437

I went skiboarding for the first time yesterday...spent my time on the bunniest of bunny hills...never made it into double digits...don't have Skitracks or a similar app...tried to get a screen shot from Garmin, without success...

...and yet, with three empty spaces on the leader board, I have to TRY to get on there even if only for a brief period of time!

For some reason, Garmin says my max. speed was 6.7 mph but there's clearly one run where I went at a "lightning fast" 8.1 mph. Go figure.

                              Anyway, here's the facts:
                              8.1 mph
                              Spruce 120s
                              Tyrol Basin (Wisconsin)
Sticky Icky Ickys (I think I'm in love )
Spruce 120's (they served me well)
                              Trikke Skki
