  • Whats the best skiboarding online resources?

Hey guys, I'm starting to get into the whole concept of tiny ass skis...and skiboards seem prety bad asss!!

Can anyone help me out and point out some sick online websites to check out and shit? TBH I can't find much, seems like the sport is just beginning to make a scene.

OH, and if anyone knows anything about the Kniessl bigfoot, OR the bigfoot (for snowboard bindings/boots), plllease let me knoww more!!!

I'll post this generic answer before one of our members Slow does..

"Welcome to the forum and skiboarding xsjado. Forum members will make recommendations based on their experiences, but they will need some "data" on you. Weight, height, fitness level, perferred terrain (park, mtn, etc.) would really help.

As a start, also check out this thread: http://www.skiboardsonline.com/vbull...ead.php?t=7115 "

    Enjoy!

You know, I've been looking for the same thing. We need to find a place where dedicated (even fanatical) skiboard folks hang out and share ideas in an open, non-abusive, friendly atmosphere and we sure as heck need a place that sells quality skiboard gear. You would think that someone among us is visionary enough, savvy enough and dedicated enough to invest in this incredible sport/activity and jump start this whole thing. We need to get it together. The time has come.

Well, to be honest. this website aint nowhere near what it should be. I was hoping you guys had a newschoolers, or be-mag type community.... So I guess I am limited to this website here basically.?

                xsjado,

To be honest, you're coming across like a troll. By troll I mean the type of Internet person whose only goals are to annoy and get a reaction. Sad.

Xsjado, you need to understand the size, or lack there of this sport. It's not as large as it was in the late 90s/early 2000s. Due to that issue you don't have the involvement numbers that you do of NS and Be-Mag. I see that you skate. I too skate and understand the drop-off in size of skating compared to how huge it was in the 90s. But, the difference with skiboarding is although it has gone underground, it's still only a winter sport while skating can be done all year. Here, the site itself can be as productive and useful as you make it. During the riding months many videos and discussions go on. Since a lot of skiboarders are not rollerbladers (which I never did understand since the two are so closely related and skiboardings original world of intent was based off Sled Dogs, a snow skate), the activity in this time of year is much lower. But, seeing as though you do skate, and it seems as though you ski, you will find skiboarding a much more comparable and similar feel sport than skiing. Especially when it coes to grinds such as porn stars, unities, savannahs, etc... not to mention the shortness of the boards and the landing feel in comparison to skates. There are several active members on here who skate and would be able to give you a bit more of the guidance and friendship you seem to be aiming towards.
                  I'm a snollerblader.

                    Thanks man!!

I did have a hunch that skiboarding fell off and did its own thing, just like rollerblading, it seemed too similar for the same thing not to happen, haha.

And for mahatma, lol.....pathetic... I come here lookin for "the place" online to be....and you just write me off as some dumbass troll....thanks?

Oh well, you got your impressions, I got mine.

I'll stick around on this site now that I understand whats up....

BTW, you guys think some 70cm snowblades could still offer support or landings? I want to go with some long ski boards, buuuut I'm deathly afraid of long boards + non release binders.. and I'd feel safer on 70s or something hahaha..

Thanks for the guidance and response fellas!!

                      xsjado,

Well, I actually gave you insight - I did not write you off. Read your posts and you'll find yourself to be rude and low brow.
