This what happens when you take a pair of the fab 120s off piste in Dec when the cover is thin. Oh dear! Still, no prob, the local shop will fix it.
I was skiboarding in the French Alps, with one of my ski buddies. He is intermediate, and although a smallish guy, has switched to 120s as he feels the added stability is making his learning experience easier. He was getting around a little slower than me, which was giving me the freedom to indulge myself in daft exploits like this :-)
The 120/Pro Prime set-up is brilliant in these 'try anything' situations, as they have such a huge performance envelope, so I am never on the 'wrong' board, and I must say the superb control from the stiffness of the Pro Riser is winning this die-hard fixie rider over to release. Despite the massive tear action on my board from hitting this rock, there was no pre-release. Impressive, and I have to say the ease of 'step-in' is something I sure do enjoy.
Big thanks to SBOL and Spruce for these brilliant toys..........
ps. think it might be a good idea to re-set the date on my camera :-)
