  • Looking to buy a pair of used RVL8 Condors or similar in EUROPE

    Hey guys,

I`m still looking to buy a pair of used Skiboards (suitable for deep powder / freeride mainly) in EUROPE. So if you`re a seller reading this - message me.

I`m looking for RVL8 Condor, DLP or similar, equipped with bindings

But I have another question. Let`s assume that I`ll find and buy some nice RVL8 Condors, with non-release bindings.

What shoes should I be looking for? Please send me all your recommendations, having in mind that I am a snowboarder and I know absolutely NOTHinG about ski-boots.

What is important? Does it really matter or I can get a pair of cheap used ski boots just to try and see if I`ll get hooked to Skiboarding?

    Thanks in advance

Buying the right ski boots is VERY important. Only buy used ski boots if they are spot on for your feet. You have many videos on youtube which describe what to watch for. Here is one:

As a snowboarder you could potenitally use your snowboard boots with the snowboarding bindings for skiboards, however if you are new to skiboarding you might find the turning arkward to start with as compared to skiboots.. It takes getting used to.

If you are going for skiboots, the rule of thumb is to target freeride or freestyle skiboots as they have an upright stance. From there you can iterate to a boot that fits you.
      Current: '20 Spruce Slingshot 119s, '20 Spruce Crossbow 115s, '18 Spruce Osprey 132s (touring), '21 Rvl8 SII 104s, '21 Summit Invertigos 118s
      Also: '11 Allz Elaila 94s, '12 Rvl8 Rockered Condor 110s, '15 Spruce Osprey 132s , '18 Spruce Crossbow 115s
Previous: Gaspo Hot Wax 84s, Mantrax 98s, Summit Nomad 99s, Spruce Yellow 120s, Eman Uprise 104s

That's the major point, upright stance exactly ! Having boots with less forward lean improved my abilities on skiboards beyond my most optimistic expectations. Some models that I've found to provide that would be Lange RX, Atomic Hawx, Dalbello Krypton, Full Tilt First Chair. But fit is very different from brand to brand, in my case from these four I could get into only two of them.
Myself: RVL8 2011 KTP, Spruce 125 LE, RVL8 "Drooling Clouds" RCs, Spruce 2016 Osprey
Daughter: Twoowt Pirania 95cm; RVL8 2015 Blunt XL; RVL8 2021 SII; Spruce Crossbows
        Past: RVL8 2010 Revolt Trees, RVL8 2014 Condor, RVL8 2009 ALPdors, Spruce 120 Yellow/Red

From my previous research about ski boots for skiboards, it seems that boots are not as critical as they are for skis. Some cheap beginner/intermediate boots will usually have that more upright stance, and any brand should be fine as long as they fit you properly.
          My stuff
Eman Uprise 104 cm (the last ones ever produced, 2021)
Tyrolia Attack bindings (mounted directly to factory-installed inserts)

          Retired:
RPX 180 Crazy Crew 90 cm with drilled cheapo release bindings that eventually ripped out of the foam core. Ever heard of these? Me neither...

While I`m still waiting for my DLPs to arrive next week from Spain, my girl also became interested.

As I am looking through the size charts it seems like she needs 75cm skiboards.

Her height is 153cm / 5.03 feet in US size chart

Is Snowjam Panzer her only option?

I`ll post this question in the main forum, but decided to post here as well, in case someone from Europe is selling....
