I have a set of Head 94 blades that I used last year when I got started in this sport that I am offering for only the cost of shipping. Why? Because these boards were a great start for me in this sport and I would like to give someone else who is on a tight budget the opportunity to get started as well.
I purchased these used and had them tuned and the bindings tested by a local ski shop before the start of last season. I was out on these 31 times last year. I went from having only been on skiblades once to being able to comfortably do black diamond runs by mid-season and was riding all of the trails at the resorts I go to, including a few double black diamonds, by the end of the year. That is not so much a statement about my abilities but rather that these boards are pretty solid. They are not true skiboards and don't have that level of performance but they are great to start on. I maintained these very well - hot waxing every 4 or so times out and doing edge maintenance.
There are only 2 criteria in order to get these:
1. I ask that whoever picks these up be someone who is on a tight budget and maybe can't afford a set of boards but wants to get into the sport.
2. When you are done with them (hopefully because you have moved up to higher performance skiboards) that you pass them on to someone else in a similar way.
Here are some quick specs:
--Manufacturer is Head - yes, the big ski manufacturer
--94cm length
--Wood core
--Tyrolia SP100 bindings with full diagonal release - these are high quality bindings; these are demo or rental bindings so they can be adjusted without tools for different boot sole lengths. However, you will need to track down the Head rental technical manual to find the right heel value (where the heel sits on the track). That manual will have the DIN release values as well or you can find them on the web. If you are not familiar with those types of adjustments, a local ski shop will set these up for you for a small fee.
--The boards have a label on them that indicates they are for use with adult ski boots only
--I will also include a Salomon carry bag
If you meet the 2 criteria and would like these boards, send me a PM on the forum. I can get your location, determine what the shipping cost is and we can get everything settled.
