  • 2 boards, 1 binding

I was wondering if any of you multiple-board owners use only one binding, and mount them to whichever board you happen to be using at the time.

I just got my first set of boards yesterday, but I could see myself getting another set in the future. But since I would only be using one set at any given time, the idea of not having to buy another binding/riser system is tempting.

Is there an issue with installing/uninstalling a binding system several times a year onto different boards? Does it wear out the screw holes on the board?

I've never had any problems switching out bindings between boards. If you took it to the extreme and switched up bindings several times everyday you may run into a problem, but for most normal people, I don't think you'll run into problems.

One of the key features about skiboarding and standard insert holes is that you absolutely can have just one binding and use it on all your skiboards .. This makes it much less costly then skis where you need a new binding for every ski .. No problem with installing and un installing multiple times , as these are , machine screws into nice machine screw inserts .. the only caveat is not to torque the screws super tight as you may strip the insert holes ...

I took my bindings off and on 6 times so far this season. No signs of stripping at all and I usually have horrible luck with stripping screws.

Yea, you usually shouldn't have any trouble. If you do, just put some lock tight on, and they will be good again.

I switch bindings between boards all the time. When I am not using my skiboards, I unmount the bindings from them.

Because it isn't that hilarious? It's an overly played out meme, and has been for a couple of years.

i don't believe this is a concern with the Revel8 boards as the inserts are octagonal at the base and epoxied in. in 5 years we've never had a report of one stripping out. i've see it with other manufacturers but not R8.

Do Spruce use similar inserts epoxied in on the 120s and Sherpas Greco?
