  • Boot Recommendation

I'm thinking of getting new boots, and was wondering what was the difference in looking for boots for skiboarding rather than for skiing.

    Thanks.

    1. softer boot, ability to flex and move more than in high quality ski boots, well alot of times if u can't afford like the rail boots, alot of lower grade boots like axis are made out of a flexable plastic
    2. i think u want something that has less foward tilt in it, as u probably won't be going down strait slopes
    3. u don't want those insturdy, straps that u just slide in and they click like on old school sneakers, more like a buckle is better
    4. sturdy frame that will work with your bindings
    5. if ur looking at used boots, don't want ones with totally warn out padding that will give u no ankle/arch support

that is all i can think off, hope it helped

You probably want to avoid buying total bricks, obviously. Go to the SBOL boots section, it's a skiboard site, so it sells boots that are good for skiboarding. Specifically Raichle...don't buy line.

Can you tell how much forward tilt a boot has without trying it on?

I tried on the Rail boots last year, and it didn't fit well, because it didn't come in half sizes, and I have short wide feet.

What makes the Raichle boots good for skiboarding?

I'm also investigating Dolomite DC70, Dalbello Visio 5, Rossignol Soft light 1, Rossignol Soft 3.

        Thanks for the help.
