I've got a pair of Head Mojo release bindings and screws that you can have for free. You'd still need a riser plate though. I often ski with valmorel at Xscape too. Meet up there?

That would be awesome gromit, thank you.

Just need to track down set of risers now. I assume spruce still don't sell them separately?

I might be able to get you a non-Spruce set. I'll ask Juri from skiboards.eu. It won't be free though. Leave it with me for a day or so.

              Hi Valmorel,
I've had a couple of trips on K2 big airs which we're great fun. Now feel the need for something longer and wider to see what all the fuss is about!
              Thanks
              Simon

I was also going to pick Valmorel's wisdom on homemade wooden risers as I have an old set of Burton Freeride bindings with top strap.. Would it be possible to shape some solid oak (not laminate) as a riser and still allow flex a la spruce??

Sure you can. I have made several pairs over time in solid wood (ash) and the original Spruce prototypes were made in wood.

Wooden Riser I made a couple of years ago when experimenting with soft boots. Soft pine, an airball . .

You coated the risers with plenty of clear, marine-type, varnish as I recall. Nice job.

Did you persevere with the softboot set up?
