This years East Coast Connection was a great one. Great people, Great snow, Great times. #fullNate
Looking ahead to next season, I have been bouncing a few different options around as far as resorts, however I am heavily weighing on the event to be held at Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont. Killington and Mount Snow have had great successes with events I have had at both, but it is time for a change.
Currently I am looking at having the event in March again next season but pushing it back another week in hopes we can finally time it for some true powder (a few inches of snow here on the East Coast). The proposed dates so far are March 10-13 of 2024. Obviously this may change, but I'm just throwing out this as an idea as of right now. If bookings do not work for my condo at that time or location, Killington will be the back up around the same time frame.
Again, I'm hoping that we can have a nice group as we did the past few seasons. I know Okemo has more of an isolated family style feel to it's resort and I would really like that instead of the hustle and bustle of a bigger more populated area.
As I said before, "time for a change"... with that being said, The East Coast Connection 5 is likely going to be my last year for planning this event. I have had a great time with these events, however I will be looking at traveling a bit more for skiing and including my wife and currently 2yr old son with that travel. I would love to hand off the East Coast planning to someone who will carry on the love for getting the group together.
