  • Shredfest 2023

This years edition will be Monday February 27-Thursday March 2. This years is the Epic pass resorts Heavenly for Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday at Northstar , and finishing up at Kirkwood .

Most of us stay in South Lake Tahoe, plenty of accommodation in all price ranges. I stay at Stateline as there’s so many places to eat and shop , and gamble if you like that.
As it sits there’s no plans for a pre party but hopes we can all meet Thursday night for pizza and have a nice getaway.
This year will be a little different then in the past events as to now there’s a ride with the pros group along with the recreational group. All hopes are we all meet together for the first few days and start as a group , but that will most likely change as the days and party night go. The pros group will likely start a little later as the week progresses.
    Edit with new info

    Shredfest
For best visual access, download the EpicMix app , and favor the resorts we are going to…

Monday and Tuesday is at Heavenly ,we meet at the California side parking area. Lifts start at 9AM We gather near the ticket window Near the gun barrel lift. Be ready when the lifts start. If you need ticket get there a little earlier. If your late we will be doing a couple laps @ The Canyon lift, see the maps on the app.
Wednesday is at Northstar. Suggested time for arrival is 830. That helps with good parking and the little walk to the gondola . Parking can be found by following the signs after you turn left of the main highway
We will gather by the ice rink in the center of the resort buildings ,and then head to the gondola.
If your late, head up the gondola and to the right are 2 lifts. Look for others that will be doing laps.
The RVL8 team will be doing laps in the park, and filming. That is the lift to the left.
After skiing at Northstar a group of us will be heading to Reno for In N Out and will be rollerskating at the local rink. Bring a change of clothes to skate in. Come skate with Rachel (the derby player) and a few of the team riders. Last year was the first time and I believe we had fun?

Thursday is Kirkwood it’s a little bit of a drive into the canyons in South Lake. Parking by the mountain Village. First lift is at 9AM. If your late groups will be hitting 5&6 for some warmup laps.
This being the last day we always seem to get another group photo in

I’m not sure yet on a final dinner in the evening. Many times we have Pizza Hut to end the Fest. We shall see if that happens again.

I’m sorry for any delays in getting this posted , as I was not aware that I was doing on the forum just to let all those on Facebook know of the event.
Jack will still be leading the recreational group and I will assist along with Dave in helping those that want to ski with the RVL8 pro riders.

            Just a little update:,
I’m hearing that Sierra at Tahoe might not be a viable option. Many of the stumps in the glades section were not able to be cleared prior to the snowfall so it has a reduced amount of runs available for the liking of the group.
So like in the years past we will start day 1 and 2 at Heavenly, California side at the bottom of Gun barrel. Northstar and Kirkwood will be the other days.
This is a all epic pass event now. Many of us will have the pass and epic had or has a 4 day pass that was available at a discount? If not buddy passes will be another option.
Any question? Drop me a message and I’ll do my best for a answer

Look forward to seeing everyone in a few months

Is this confirmed. I am thinking of buying the tickets in advance to save money, but they have to be bought for the correct days.

BTW It looks like $300 for Heavenly, $159 for Northstar & $116 for Kirkwood if bought in advance.
