I think we had a bit of snow in August, and a few dustings since. There was some good coverage today at the top of the Horse.
I want it to melt and go away until at least mid November. The past few seasons had some big early dumps that hung around and turned into persistent weak layers near the bottom of the snowpack, making things pretty dicey even in some in-bounds areas. Having it start late and hit hard, and consistently, is the preferred option. -
