  • North East Resort suggestions PLEASE>>>

    Hey

Although based in UK and generally ride The Alps or Scandinavia, I have family NYC, Boston and New Hampshire. I visit every other year so wondering if anyone can suggest some good resorts on East coast?

I like lift served Back country or some touring and /or nice quiet resort runs where possible!

Appreciate your help guys..... Thank you

Do you have to have either those passes or can you just buy day skipass at resort?

I would probably have 4 to 5 days, but happy to drive to get a good resort. Quieter the better for me....

you don't need those passes. There are numerous Vermont resorts that would be accessible from all those locations. Mount Snow, Okemo, Killington, Jay Peak, Stowe, all tremendous resorts

I wonder if that West Dover Vermont you mentioned previously would fit the quite laid back vibe they are looking for?

I've been to a couple of upstate NY resorts and Killington. If planning a trip to anywhere in the NE, I'd look into Lake Placid. The 32 & 80 Winter Olympics were there, so it would be cool to check that out.

edit: are there any famous World Cop resorts/runs in the NE that get aired on TV every year? I love watching the Birds Of Prey (Beaver Creek, CO) world cup races. I've been down that BOP run a few times. It really gives you an appreciation for how talented the pro's are. I always stop where they get airborne.

I didn't realize that Mount Snow is in West Dover #9 in this review.
There must be a good reason the lift tickets are so high yet they are so bury.
