EDC Thread

For those who don't know, EDC stands for everyday carry. It quite literally means the things you carry on your person every day, like a phone, wallet, keychain, etc. I know there are plenty of gearheads on this forum, so I'm willing to bet there are a few others who are into this as well. I'll start:

I always have my wallet and keys (sometimes chapstick). The government has allowed me the right to decided to either tell you, or not tell you if I also carry a device used to defend myself from up to 8 people ( if I keep one in the chamber)

I can't tell if Valmorel is serious or not above ... either way it's funny! Tire inflator .... priceless.

For me, I consider myself a gearhead (as an engineer) but since I travel a lot for work (by air) or work in buildings with tight security my Every Day Carry has been purged of anything with a blade, multi-tools, or any tool that looks like a weapon. Initially it drove me nuts not to have a Leatherman or Swiss Army knife with me all the time but I have embraced the minimal kit that I carry.

It includes:
- Basic bi-fold wallet
- iPhone 6 (don't carry this in the summer .... Drives my wife nuts but not having a phone is so cathartic)
- Key Ring -- with one house key, one car key, and HexFlex ski tool
- Ray Ban Wayfarer Classic Sunglasses
- Wedding ring

Less is more but to satisfy my need for multitools I have them stashed all over the place (my desk, car, ski bag, hockey bag, hiking backpack, etc.)

The HexFlex has a bottle opener so that covers the requirements of my recreational substance of choice -- Craft Beer. I live in NJ so no concealed carry, plus at my size and ice hockey background I am capable of defending myself if need be (and have the dental work to prove it.)
