oops, I meant DSG (Dual Sequential Gearbox), but I confused myself with the old BMW SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox).

I really want an auto-clutch manual transmission for my next car.

I think he's referring to the clutchless manual transmissions like the BMW SMG.

Edit.. lol I was a second too late.

This is our ride to the mountain in inclement weather where 4wd may be necessary (not our actual car, i don't have a pic of that handy but the only difference is the 20" wheels we have)

          2006 Acura MDX w/Nav

Ride to the mountain when weather is nice/dry... have driven to Kirkwood all the way with top down in 24 degree weather with heat blasting - it was dry out so i figured what the heck!

          2008 Audi TT

The Audi is a lease and is going back to the dealer this May, but it was a fun ride for 3 years...

Nice TT! I'm a big fan of roadsters but they don't really work for me because of my height. I look really odd driving my wife's.

My Focus hatchy...sandbags in da trunk and little knowledge of countersteering and snow is no problemo. If its real bad take the Explorer with 4wd. Or my buddy takes his wrangler. Would love to add 4x4 F150 or those seaxy AWD v6 Fusions in the future though.

We've had a toyota spyder and the TT, both have the drivers seat set really low - I'm 6'4" and never had a problem top up or down :-)

how tall are you? I always wished I was 6'6"

I'm 6'5" and in my wife's SLK, my head is against the roof and my knees are up by the steering wheel. I'm glad to hear other roadsters can accommodate tall drivers. Some day, if I fit, I'd really like to get one of these Porsche 356 replicas:

Yeah, as you can imagine, it doesn't handle well in the snow. Been thinking about buying some shoes for my driver.

Yeah, Chuck Taylors are really a summer shoe, you may want to get him a set of Columbia boots or something of the sort, and for added comfort they now have ones that plug into a wall so they can warm and dry faster

Oh no no no. He doesn't have any shoes right now. He'd probably appreciate some old Chucks.

They're 38s Dave, but damn close for just eyeballing it.
