  • 2020 Event Schedule

Hi Everyone, here are the preliminary dates and resorts for the major events in 2020. More details and individual event threads to come as the season approaches.

Please note that several of these events are undergoing changes in timing and/or resorts. I'll keep this post updated as things evolve.

    Midwest Meet, Upper Michigan

Riding dates: Friday, January 24 - Sunday, January 26, 2020

Resort: Mount Bohemia ($99 season pass sale first Saturday of December)

Changes this year: Timing moved back to the original schedule.

Check out the event thread for more details.

    East Coast Connection, Vermont

Riding dates: Monday, January 27 - Wednesday, January 29, 2020

    Resort: Mount Snow

    Changes this year: New event!

Check out the event thread for more details.

    Skiboard Connection, Colorado

Riding dates: Monday, February 3 - Friday, February 7, 2020

Resorts: Copper (Ikon), Vail (Epic), Keystone (Epic), Vail (Epic), Breckenridge (Epic)

Changes this year: We’ve removed A Basin because it is no longer part of the Epic pass and parking is limited. We’ve removed Beaver Creek because it doesn't have as much of the terrain most of us seek out. We’ve added Copper because it has a lot of terrain to explore. We’ll go to Vail twice because it’s huge and has a ton of terrain.

Check out the event thread for more details.

    Shredfest, Lake Tahoe

Riding dates: Monday, February 24 - Thursday, February 27, 2020

Tentative resorts: Sierra, Heavenly (Epic), Northstar (Epic), Kirkwood (Epic)

Changes this year: To keep the event affordable, it will remain in South Lake Tahoe each year and focus on resorts on the Epic pass along with Sierra which has reasonable ticket prices. Riding dates will all be midweek to avoid crowds.

Check out the event thread for more details, or get up to speed on the preliminary detail discussion.

    Westfest, Utah

Riding dates: Monday, March 2 - Friday, March 6

Resorts: Park City (Epic), Snowbasin (Epic), Brighton (Ikon), Snowbird (Ikon)

Changes this year: The event has been moved back to try to avoid the early season conditions we've been seeing more and more of in January. Riding dates will all be midweek to avoid crowds. We've removed Solitude because the crowds are getting out of control and the terrain feels limited if conditions aren't epic. We've added Snowbasin because they've joined the Epic pass. Note: Buddy passes and ski with a friend tickets are not valid at Snowbasin.

Check out the event thread for more details.

I love that the picture from MMX features my DER belly shirt
RVL8 Condors - The Flex will be with me, always...until I break them

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming... "WOW! WHAT A RIDE!!"
