  • Driving in whiteout

Here's a tip for night driving in whiteout snow conditions. Put on your sunglasses. Any will do. Polarized are even better. I drove from Vail to Utah yesterday evening in brutal conditions. Only the rumble strips kept me from going off the road. The sunglasses will block a lot of the light reflected back at you.

Going to Oregon for a week on the 2nd. The Colorado trip was not a good trip for us. Ask Jack about it when you see him.

Hmm, good tip! I wouldn't have thought of it. That's with the high beams on?

The last road trip I did was so mucky that I had my high beams on for 50 km and never got flashed once. Too much dirt on them from following big rigs to even light up the road. Eventually stopped to clean them, but pullouts from Rogers Pass to Revy are few and far between.
