I know is an old thread. But, my ski club is going to Telluride this year and this is an email blast about the trip.

    ---------
I'll be leading a trip to Telluride, Colorado Feb 26 - Mar 5. We'll be one of 15 clubs joining the Chicago Metro Ski Council for the 40th anniversary of Chicago Week. Being less commercialized than most resorts, Telluride is unpretentious, friendly, and full of surprises. It retains the vestiges of its mining town roots while exuding a modest sophistication. The unsurpassable beauty, spectacular views, and fabulous skiing lent by the solemnly rising backdrop of the mountain make Telluride a unique ski resort and an unforgettable place to visit.

Telluride is nestled in a box canyon at 8,750 feet surrounded by 14,000-foot peaks of Southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. The resort is located 65 miles south of Montrose airport with 2,000 skiable acres, a 4,425-foot vertical drop, and spectacular views. It receives an average of 280 annual inches of light, dry snow, which blankets 127 trails, bowls, with a variety of terrain (23% beginner, 36% intermediate, 41% advanced/expert), and some of the steepest terrain in North America. And the best part is, this can be enjoyed without the typical crowded ski slopes and long lift lines.
    The trip includes:
    • 5 days lift ticket ($435 value), option for 6th day
    • Welcome Reception
    • 2 Apres-Ski Happy Hours
    • on the mountain lunch
    • Pub Crawl
    • Race
    • Themed banquet with a band and dancing- the theme costumes this year is Miners and Madams to celebrate Telluride's mining history. Yes, there are prizes for best costumed club.
    • RT airfare from Chicago and transfers to lodging
    • 7 nights lodging
