I'll be at Kirkwood ringing in the new year with my brand new KTPs if anyone cares to join me.

Yeah, I saw that...I'm leading a tour bus up there so barring a road closure on hwy 88 I don't have a choice on the destination. There should be some snow dropping tomorrow and a high of 34 and sunny the day of, so I'm hopeful it will at least be tolerable.

Due to a driver shortage, my trip was cancelled. Looks like I'll be at Northstar on the 1st after all!

Gorgeous weather yesterday! Upper 20's, sunny, excellent visibility, almost no wind. Lots of ice all over the mountain, but there was just enough powder scattered around to allow for carving so long as you were reading the hill. I'll post my first impressions of the KTPs in the Gear section.

I went to Northstar. Nice place, even if you do have to hike through the Village with all your gear to get to a lift.
