  • Are hard shell skates extinct?

I have an ancient pair of rollerblade parkways and they are starting to fall apart. The problem is I tried K2 soft shell skates several years ago and hated them. I couldnt get the laces tight enough! Now everyone sells lace up skates. Is there any company that offers hard shells with full buckles?

There are still hard-shells, but they have some laces in them too. Take a look at the current Razor lineup.

I wouldn't say there is any 'best' skate. It's all personal preference. I love my Xsjado's, but of course, those are soft-shell, if you even consider it that.

                Hi-
Actually Im looking for fitness skates. I have Rollerblade Parkways and I would like to replace them soon. Are there any new skates that have good support? That is the main reason I have stayed with the old hardshells.
                Thanks

you can use the fusion as fitness skates. but other than those, no, there are no other hard boot options.

im not sure why you think soft shell boots dont have support. maybe try getting a higher end more advanced skate, they will have stiffer cuffs and support.
