  • skiboard sizing question

I'm a 5-2" female, 115 lbs. Experienced snowboarder (yes, different sport, i realize...) and looking to buy my first pair of skiboards. All mountain, versatile boards. How do I choose length...75 cuz I'm short?
    Thanks in advance!

for all mountain performance you generally want to be on the long side of the spectrum of boards you can use. With your hight and weight you will probably want to go with releasables which will increase your choice of boards. Generally 98cm and up are considered good for all mountain. Obviously the shorter the board the more skate like and nimble, the longer the board the more stable. Of course the KTP and Condor are extra wide which is a whole different topic.

If you want to go with non-release bindings then just get the longest ones you can safely use. That will be the lightest most nimble package that will still perform decently all mountain. Especially as a beginer the shorter length will be nice and I dont think you will feel the sacrifice of the shorter boards till you progress a considerable amount. I have some ALLZ 94 cm boards for sale in the buy and sell section of this forum, they are a bit beat up, but half off, so a pretty good deal if you are just experimenting right now.

Oh and read the topic by MommaQ she is similar weight class as you though she is a bit more experienced.

I suggest you go with the BWP and releasables.

I agree with Slow. BWPs would be a good choice for you at your size.
