SnOasis - Europe's largest snowdome now likely to be built
Building work on SnOasis due to start next September
Building work on the long-delayed, SnOasis snowdome complex is due to start in September 2011 following the appointment of a large American concern to operate it. Link to the story on the East Anglian Daily Times web site.
Sadly, it'll take three years to build (by the end of 2014).
Developer trots out more excuses as to why building work hasn't started yet!
SnOasis developer trots out some fresh excuses to try to explain why he hasn't started building the snow dome yet. Apparently, its all to do with the on-site railway station. http://www.eadt.co.uk/business/suffo...iled_1_1118266
Just after that story appeared a month ago, the leader of the local council, commented that it was time that the SnOasis developers "Put up or shut up" as things have been dragging on for a decade with no sign of work starting. http://www.eadt.co.uk/business/suffo...asis_1_1503338
Personally, I would love for it to be built but realistically, I don't believe it'll ever be done.
Could the SnOasis snowdome project be back on again?
Could the SnOasis snowdome project be back on again after such a long break?
Here's a link to a story in the local press, about a group of developers (DP9) and the site owners who seem to want to get it built.
"Representatives from DP9 stated that funds were in place for the £500m project from a UK-based company, who currently own the land.".
Further investigation indicates that the site was acquired by the new owner in September 2018.
