how's the skiboarding at Massanutten? my family was there about 5 years ago during the summertime, and I've often wondered about planning a trip to get some skiboarding in. -
Depends what you like. My wife and daughter prefer it over Whitetail - the one "expert" lift going to the two longest runs never has crowds even on MLK weekend. These two black runs IMO are comparable to blue runs elsewhere and are usually better groomed than Whitetail. Whitetail has better park and more slopes. The upper half of the moguls run is more advanced at Massanutten. The green beginner slopes are crowded on both resorts.
Arguably, there is a bit more variety at Whitetail than at Massanutten. But the conditions are generally better at Massanutten and usually fewer people overall and especially at the two long "expert" runs - that's where we usually spend almost all of our time, so it can get boring running the same slope 10-15 times a day...
