    Pre Shredfest Saturday Options

Hi Folks , traditionally I have met folks on Saturday prior to official Shredfest for some riding . I am open to do this again depending on the interest. Last year we did a successful pre Shredfest day at Sugarbowl. Here are some possible options :
1/ riding an extra day at one of the Shredfest resorts .. ie Heavenly , Kirkwood or Sierra.
2/ riding at Northstar in North Tahoe or perhaps one of the other north Tahoe resorts ( this involves a bit of a drive afterward getting back to South Lake Tahoe )
3/ joining my buddies and I for a day of backcountry skiboarding in the South Lake Tahoe area ... lots of options ..

If anyone is interested in joining me on the Saturday before Shredfest let me know and what your interests are .

    Jack
    Boards :

I think the Saturday at Sugarbowl might have been our favorite day of Shredfest last year. So we will certainly make it if we can. Still waiting to see if work and school will allow us the time off to make it to Tahoe this year. Plus a little snow would help.
          Just these, nothing else !

            Questions:

What place do you guys usually stay at? Or will you not know till closer too?

And to get from resort to resort do you just hop on a bus or drive around (car pool)?

Sorry once again trying to figure this budget out :X What sucks is the Canadian dollar is so low right now, which makes things WAY more expensive.

Most of us stay in South Lake Tahoe , there are a lot hotels and motels there of all different price ranges including inexpensive options , we generally drive to the resorts , except for Heavenly which has a good shuttle service around south lake tahoe ..
if you do not have a car , you can often carpool with one of the other Shredfest folks ... hope you can join us ....

They haven't posted the concert schedule for Feb yet. When it gets closer you can see what live acts you can catch.

When I went 2 years ago (it was in South Lake Tahoe then too) I stayed at Harveys Lake Tahoe 18 U.S. 50 Stateline, NV 89449(775) 588-2411 harveystahoe.com. It is a big casino hotel. My room was very nice. I think the price for the one weekend night was $99 and the weekday rate was $69. I would stay there again if I returned.

Some times you can find some good deals at http://www.snowpals.org/, especially if several couples want to share a house.
